I woke up to grey skies and a bit of rain this morning.
It's also a bit cooler, which isn't always the case when it's raining up here. Often it just means it's more humid.
This kind of weather is always a welcome surprise in the Desert.
The cool change is pleasing because:
- I can wear jeans today. A break from my usual rotation of black shorts and black skirt.
-We can go for a walk in the middle of the day, instead of waiting for the sun to go down
- I can dress Bay in some booties. She was given so many cute ones but so far it's been way too hot.
-I can turn the reticulation off and save a bit of water.
- A hot cross bun and cup of Melbourne Breasfast for morning tea will taste even better in this weather.
- We can turn the air conditioning off and and just leave some windows open to let a nice cool breeze through the house
So in the spirit of silver linings, here is an ode to grey

I hope everyone is enjoying whatever weather they are getting today!
We are in for a quiet weekend. No visitors, for the first time in ages. Which is a bit sad, but the countdown is on to our Easter family holiday, which I'm really excited about.
